Position: Patrol Officer in Eeyou Istchee
Location: Quebec
Serve as a Patrol Officer with the Eeyou Eenou Police Force in the Cree communities of Eeyou Istchee. Enforce laws, maintain order, and respond to a variety of safety issues throughout your patrols.
As a Patrol Officer reporting to the Lieutenant, you will actively enforce laws and regulations, ensuring public safety and security. Responsibilities include investigating crimes, securing evidence, and providing emergency assistance to victims. Your experience in or understanding of Cree communities will be a significant asset in fulfilling your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure public safety
• Investigate and document crimes and traffic incidents
• Arrest individuals suspected of criminal activity
• Provide assistance during emergencies and disasters
• Participate in crime prevention and public safety initiatives
Requirements:
• Diploma from the École Nationale de Police du Québec
• Experience in a Cree Community is a strong advantage
• Fluency in Cree, French, and English
• Valid driver’s license for emergency vehicles
• Excellent judgment and leadership skills
