Role Description This is a part-time, remote Payroll Officer role based in Wesley Chapel, FL. The Payroll Officer will manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, review of time and attendance records, and preparation of payroll runs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include reconciling payroll reports, handling payroll adjustments, and ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, benefits, and deductions. The role also involves coordinating with HR and Finance teams, responding to employee payroll inquiries, and maintaining up-to-date payroll records and documentation. The Payroll Officer will contribute to process improvements, support audits, and assist with compliance related to payroll taxes and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Services, with experience managing regular and off-cycle payrolls.
  • Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Payroll Taxes, including federal, state, and local regulations, and related reporting requirements.
  • Candidates should possess foundational Finance skills, including basic accounting principles, reconciliation, and familiarity with financial controls.
  • Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and addressing employee questions.
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms, and proficiency in MS Excel or similar tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Prior experience in payroll or accounting within a corporate or financial services environment is preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
