PT Indexim Coalindo is seeking an experienced Permitting & Government Relations Manager to join our Head Office in Jakarta.
This role is responsible for managing the company’s permitting processes and government relations activities to support operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and effective stakeholder coordination within the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end permitting processes for mining operations, including submission, renewal, monitoring, and follow-up of required licenses and approvals
- Maintain effective coordination and professional relationships with relevant government institutions and external stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide timely updates, analysis, and recommendations to internal management
- Ensure all permitting activities and related documentation are properly managed in line with applicable regulations and company requirements
- Prepare permit tracking reports, official correspondence, and supporting documents for regulatory submissions and follow-up
- Coordinate closely with internal departments including operations, legal, HSE, and other relevant functions
- Lead and develop the team to ensure effective execution of permitting and external coordination activities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in permitting, regulatory affairs, or government relations within the mining, energy, or natural resources industry
- Strong understanding of mining permitting processes and regulatory compliance in Indonesia
- Proven experience in handling government coordination and external stakeholder management
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills
- Able to manage multiple licensing priorities, reporting, and regulatory follow-up in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Willing to be based in Head Office Jakarta and travel as required
