The City of Fort St. John is seeking a Planner I to provide reliable planning services and support development projects. This role combines technical analysis with community engagement to enhance urban planning.

As a Planner I, you will support the Planning Manager in processing development applications and preparing reports. Key tasks include coordinating public meetings, drafting bylaws, and performing research related to planning issues. Responsibilities

  • Process application permits and development requests
  • Assist the Planning Manager with policy development

Requirements

  • Degree in planning, human geography or a related discipline
  • 2 years experience in technical planning roles
  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License required
