Shape community development as a Planning and Development Coordinator. Oversee policy applications, strategic land use planning initiatives, and foster collaboration with key stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for processing policy applications, conducting research, and managing public inquiries related to planning and zoning issues. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills to prepare essential documents and reports, participate in meetings, and support various planning activities within a municipal context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and review Planning Act applications

• Conduct site visits to assess compliance

• Prepare and present planning reports

• Develop public engagement and consultation strategies

• Collaborate with municipal staff and external partners

Requirements:

• Degree in Urban Planning or Environmental Studies

• Minimum of two years of municipal planning experience

• Knowledge of the Planning Act and provincial policies

• Strong writing and interpersonal skills

• Competency in Microsoft Office and GIS software
