Position: Plans Examiner I at City

This role requires a three-year college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology, along with three years of experience in building regulations. You’ll examine permit applications, conduct inspections, and respond to inquiries. Your expertise in code compliance will contribute directly to the community’s safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Examine permit applications and building plans thoroughly
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance
• Respond to public inquiries related to construction
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide technical guidance
• Issue permits on behalf of the Chief Building Official
Requirements:
• Three-year college diploma in related discipline
• Registered Building Official with MMAH
• Valid BCIN certification
• Three years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of building regulations and standards
