Requirements of the role

We’re offering three permanent opportunities to work on high-profile, nationally significant programmes that are central to the UK’s Net Zero ambitions. You’ll be part of work that directly supports the development of new and evolving low-carbon sectors, helping to shape how these markets operate now and in the future. Operating within a fast-paced and high-impact environment, you’ll contribute to work that influences both current regulatory approaches and long-term system transformation.

These roles sit within the Low Carbon Regulated Asset Base team, offering a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of new regulatory regimes. Whether supporting Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) or Nuclear frameworks, you’ll play a visible role across industry and government, contributing to the development of critical infrastructure and helping to ensure these sectors deliver for consumers and the wider economy.

Job Description

We’re looking for candidates with experience in economic regulation, energy infrastructure or policy development, combined with strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate multiple priorities with confidence.

In return, you’ll join a collaborative, agile and purpose-driven environment, working alongside experts across Ofgem, government and industry. You’ll have the opportunity to engage widely, influence key decisions and be part of a team that is shaping the future of low-carbon energy systems in the UK.

We have a critical purpose to enable the development of Carbon Capture & Storage and Nuclear infrastructure. Join us in driving forward innovative regulatory approaches that combat reliance on fossil fuels and secure a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
