Role Purpose: The President will lead the strategic growth and operational excellence of the air cargo handling business in Muscat. This role is responsible for driving business expansion, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering superior service standards aligned with the shareholders’ global vision. The President will oversee a workforce of approximately 300+ employees and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including airport authorities, airlines, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the business strategy to achieve growth targets and profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand footprint in Oman and the region.
- Ensure alignment with shareholders’ vision, values, and operational standards.
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day air cargo handling operations at Muscat International Airport, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service quality.
- Implement robust risk management and business continuity plans.
Financial Performance
- Manage the P&L, ensuring financial sustainability and cost optimization.
- Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to group leadership.
People Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 300+ employees, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company HR policies.
- Build leadership capability and succession planning within the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, airlines, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in industry forums and regulatory discussions.
Project Management & Execution
- Lead key company-wide projects, especially those focused on cost reduction, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Implement governance frameworks to ensure accountability and progress tracking.
Cost Optimization
- Drive cost-cutting strategies across functions without compromising service quality.
- Optimize budgets, vendor contracts, procurement processes, and workflows.
- Monitor financial performance and enhance profitability.
Revenue Growth
- Identify new revenue streams, including services, markets, and partnerships.
- Drive innovation and support product development.
- Strengthen sales, marketing, and customer engagement strategies to increase market share.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 20 to 25+ years of experience in aviation, logistics, or cargo handling, with at least 15+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale operations and driving business growth.
- Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to local business practices.
