As the Principal Contract Management Officer, you will oversee the administration of high-value and high-risk contracts, ensuring compliance, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. You will provide expert advice on sourcing, contract variations, and escalations while fostering strong stakeholder relationships, mentoring staff, and contributing to procurement policy development.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management Expertise: Lead the development, review, and management of complex, medium to high-risk contracts, ensuring compliance with policies, effective vendor performance, and timely resolution of underperformance or disputes.
Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: Provide expert advice on contract extensions, renewals, variations, and sourcing activities, while addressing escalated issues and complaints with a solutions-focused approach.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, delivery partners, and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and swift issue resolution.
Leadership and Mentoring: Guide, mentor, and coach team members to enhance their skills, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure the team is equipped to meet service delivery requirements.
Analytical and Reporting Skills: Conduct vendor and supply chain analysis, planning, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and improve contract outcomes.
Policy Development and Compliance: Contribute to the development of procurement policies, systems, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and best practices.
