The Principal Program Officer, NDIS Interface, Specialist Services leads, develops and implements projects to improve outcomes for children in the child protection system with a broad range of disabilities.
The successful candidate will have experience in service design and implementation, practice development and review and research and evaluation with a strong focus on ensuring services are delivering quality outcomes for children and young people and value for investment of public funds.
As a Principal Program Officer, You Will
- Undertake high level, culturally responsive liaison, consultation and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders, to develop effective NDIS plan implementation and NDIS plan reviews to provide the best possible NDIA funded disability supports for children in care.
- Undertake the development, design and monitoring of strategic disability and NDIA interface projects and programs to support effective service delivery to children and young people in care and monitor the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Undertake program assurance and program reporting to inform Senior Executives on the benefits and performance of program outcomes, and provide evidence of tangible outcomes for children.
- Ensure that service delivery arrangements support the department's program and strategic intent.
- Use strong interpersonal communication to establish and maintain partnerships and working relationships with regional staff to ensure acceptance of strategies to achieve outcomes for children with a disability in care.
- Prepare a range of written materials including cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing material, speech notes and information papers concerning disability and NDIA interface work.
- Collaborate with other departmental staff in the management of communication and information activities.
- Contribute to the implementation of policies, procedures and practices in a regional service delivery environment.
