Position: Privacy Assessment Coordinator at City
Take charge of privacy management with the City of White Rock as a FOI & Privacy Assessment Coordinator. Ensure compliance with FOIPPA while overseeing the handling of information requests and assessments.
This regular full-time role reports directly to the Deputy Corporate Officer. You will manage FOI applications, analyze data for disclosure, and draft necessary documentation. Collaboration with internal and external organizations, including the OIPC, is key to ensuring the effective implementation of privacy policies and training across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle FOI application requests from start to finish
• Analyze complex data to recommend disclosure or withholding
• Draft and review Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
• Develop policies related to FOI requests and processes
• Train staff and public on FOIPPA regulations
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion with relevant post-secondary coursework
• 2 years minimum FOI-related experience
• Knowledge of FIPPA requirements in BC Local Government
• Experience working with the OIPC
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Manage FOI processes and enhance privacy compliance for the City of White Rock.
