PROBATION ASSISTANT-JUVENILE DIVISION
DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary-Court Services
HIRING RATE: $22.12-$24.58/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

Job Summary
Responsible for providing caseload management and oversight and maintaining communication with juveniles placed on informal adjustment and 6 months good behavior.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D. with preference for associate's degree in criminal justice or social services
- Excellent organizational and communications skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures/practices
- Knowledge of and ability to make practical application of local, state, and federal regulations/statutes, standard policies and procedures, adult/juvenile criminal code, and legal terminology of criminal justice system
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Pre-employment background check/drug screen
