Job Brief:
The Process Safety Specialist is responsible for the collection, organization, validation, and maintenance of accurate and accessible Process Safety task. This critical role ensures that essential technical documents related to hazards, equipment, technology, and facility design are readily available for operations, maintenance, engineering, and emergency response.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a system for managing all Process Safety documents.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to verify Process safety accuracy during project closeouts, MOC implementations, and routine reviews.
- Participate in PSM audits, specifically focusing on the PS element.
- Support the development of data management strategies for process safety.
- Conduct benchmark for major safety management system & Processes.
- Lead the Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), HAZOPs, LOPAs, and other risk assessment studies
- Lead the investigation of incidents/accidents that impact company and contractor personnel and equipment. Maintain a record of incident reports for tracking/ purposes
- Develop process safety engineer by establishing required IDP’s and avail external opportunities and JV assignments.
- Obtain required tools & software to enhance overall performance of the department.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial or engineering environment, with strong experience in technical documentation and data management.
- Good communication skills to liaise with technical personnel.
- NEBOSH certified.
- Certified HAZOP leader.
- Certified in RCA (Root cause Analysis).
