About the Role
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of AltaCair’s community initiatives. This position helps ensure programs run efficiently, community partnerships remain strong, and events and outreach efforts are well organized.
The role includes supporting community health programs, coordinating events such as health fairs and outreach initiatives, maintaining program documentation and impact data, and helping connect community members with important resources. This position works closely with partners, volunteers, and internal team members to ensure programs are executed successfully and reach the communities that need them most.
Key Responsibilities
• Support day-to-day operations of community programs and initiatives
• Coordinate logistics for health fairs, community events, meetings, and outreach activities
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
• Track program goals, timelines, and outcome data
• Assist with program reporting and documentation
• Help manage program communications, calendars, and materials
• Support volunteer coordination and community engagement efforts
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Community Development, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit, healthcare, community outreach, or program coordination
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
Preferred candidates will also have experience working with underserved populations, coordinating events or outreach programs, and collaborating with healthcare or social service systems.
