The Program Development Officer is responsible for developing, and impoving, the design of scholarship programs, particularly certificate programs. The role ensures that program design aligns with organizational goals, addresses learners’ needs, and supports the development of high-quality educational opportunities for scholars.
Program Design and Development
- Develop new scholarship programs (as needed) and review existing program frameworks, designs, and policies, with a particular focus on TeachSTEM Certificate Programs.
- Collaborate with government agencies, academic institutions, and subject-matter experts to design programs that meet educational and industry standards.
- Ensure all programs align with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct regular program evaluations to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collect and analyze feedback from scholars, partner institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to program design, delivery, and outcomes.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare program documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records relevant to role.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a point of contact for relevant stakeholders and partners.
- Support communication and dissemination of program updates, policies, and requirements.
TeachSTEM Implementation
- Lead the planning, rollout, and monitoring of the TeachSTEM certificate program.
- Coordinate scholar selection, enrollment, and program scheduling.
- Track scholar participation, completion rates, and progress
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Development, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Program Development and Evaluation, Partnerships, and Stakeholder Management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of education policies, certificate programs, adult learning, and professional development programs is a plus.
