Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Program Officer position located in Georgetown. The Program Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring projects designed to promote gender equality and social inclusivity. Key responsibilities include research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, program management, and reporting. The role will involve collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and community groups, as well as the organization and facilitation of workshops, training sessions, and events to advance PWDC’s mission.
Qualifications
- Program Management: Skills in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
- Research and Reporting: Strong research, analytical, and report-writing capabilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or community groups
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
- Additional Qualifications: Familiarity with gender equality and social inclusion concepts, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
