Its mission is to support African founders to start, grow, and scale targeting 100,000 enrolled startups, 1,000 scaled companies, and the mobilisation of USD 1 billion for African innovation. The Foundation operates across a growing portfolio of programmes spanning AI for development, climate innovation, digital public infrastructure, and startup ecosystem development, supported by a network of thematic Innovation Hubs and University Innovation Pods (UniPods) across the continent. As the Foundation scales its programme delivery and partnerships, it coordinates a high volume of structured meetings with government officials, consortium partners, grant advisors, and regional stakeholders.
