Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director with more than 20 years of expertise in roads and infrastructure projects to lead the delivery of large-scale transportation and roadway developments. The successful candidate will oversee project execution, stakeholder coordination, commercial management, and overall project performance while ensuring successful delivery in line with quality, budget, schedule, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the execution and delivery of major roads and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams including engineering, construction, supervision, project controls, and commercial teams.
- Ensure project delivery within approved budget, schedule, quality, and HSE standards.
- Develop and monitor project execution plans, schedules, risk registers, and reporting systems.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
- Manage contract administration, procurement activities, variation orders, and claims management.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
- Provide regular executive reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international engineering standards, and project requirements.
- Support tendering activities, technical evaluations, and client relationship management.
- Promote best practices, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 20+ years of experience in roads and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale or mega infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in project management, construction management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience working with government entities and international consultants is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and project reporting tools.
- Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in highways, urban roads, bridges, tunnels, and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Previous GCC experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and international construction standards.
