Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior PMO Analyst to support enterprise project governance and ensure the successful delivery of strategic business and IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in establishing and maintaining Project Management Office (PMO) standards, governance frameworks, reporting processes, and project controls across multiple programs.
The candidate will be responsible for developing project management methodologies, preparing executive dashboards and steering committee reports, monitoring project performance, identifying delivery risks, and driving continuous improvement in PMO processes. Strong stakeholder management, reporting, governance, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. PMO Governance & Methodology
- Develop, implement, and maintain PMO governance frameworks, project methodologies, policies, and standards.
- Establish project management best practices, templates, and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to organizational governance and compliance standards.
- Promote continuous improvement across project management processes.
2. Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor project progress, milestones, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain:
- Project status reports
- Executive dashboards
- KPI reports
- Portfolio reports
- Steering Committee reports
- Provide accurate project performance updates to senior management.
3. Executive & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare presentations for executive leadership and steering committees.
- Present project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, business units, and senior management.
- Support governance meetings and project review sessions.
4. Project Governance & Compliance
- Ensure projects comply with PMO standards, governance frameworks, and organizational policies.
- Monitor project documentation for quality and completeness.
- Conduct governance reviews and project health checks.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
5. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Identify project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Recommend corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
- Track issue resolution and risk mitigation activities.
- Escalate critical project risks to management.
6. Project Planning & Coordination
- Facilitate project planning workshops and governance meetings.
- Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and interdependencies.
- Support project managers in planning and execution activities.
- Assist with resource and capacity planning.
7. PMO Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in project management processes and governance.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Standardize reporting, templates, and documentation.
- Drive PMO maturity initiatives.
8. Documentation Management
- Develop and maintain:
- PMO templates
- Project documentation
- Governance documents
- Lessons learned
- Project repositories
- Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
9. Team Support
- Provide guidance and support to project managers and project teams.
- Promote best practices across projects.
- Assist teams with governance and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Business Administration
- Engineering
- Project Management
- Related Discipline
Preferred Education
- Master's Degree or MBA (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Project Management Office (PMO), Project Governance, or Project Controls.
- Experience supporting enterprise IT or business transformation programs.
- Experience managing project portfolios and executive reporting.
