As a Property Standards Enforcement Officer, you report to the Enforcement Supervisor while focusing on municipal by-law enforcement and resolution of citizen complaints. Your responsibilities include inspecting properties, enforcing regulations, and assisting the public with by-law concerns. You will prioritize education and voluntary compliance in your enforcement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct property inspections to assure by-law compliance
• Respond to and resolve by-law infractions
• Manage enforcement of animal control by-law
• Educate the community on municipal regulations
• Serve notices and conduct follow-up visits as needed
Requirements:
• Familiarity with municipal and provincial regulations
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and fair approach to enforcement
• Experience collaborating with various agencies and departments
• Capable of performing duties in various environments by foot, bicycle, or vehicle
