Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with key Indonesian authorities, primarily the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi)
  • Act as the primary bridge for policy communication, ensuring the business model is aligned with and supported by Indonesia’s "Digital Transformation" and "National Digital Economy Framework" initiatives
  • Continuously track changes in the Indonesian Civil Code (KUHPer), Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE) laws, and specific P2P Lending (LPBBTI) regulations governed by the OJK (e.g., POJK 10/2022 and its updates)
  • Provide management with a deep-dive analysis into the Indonesian political climate and upcoming legislative shifts (such as the Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law implementation) that could impact the lending and digital sectors
  • Coordinate official visits, public hearings, and industry association meetings (e.g., AFPI for fintech lending or AFTECH) to represent the company's interests

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or Economics. A Master’s degree from a top-tier Indonesian (e.g., UI, UGM) or international university is highly regarded
  • 7+ years of experience in Public Affairs or Government Relations within Indonesia
  • Prior professional experience working within or closely with relevant Indonesian government agencies (e.g., OJK, BI, or Komdigi) is highly preferred
  • Strong preference for candidates coming from Traditional Banking, Fintech, Payment Gateways, or Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) backgrounds
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex Indonesian bureaucratic structures and a proven track record of building rapport with senior stakeholders through appropriate cultural etiquette (e.g., understanding of musyawarah and local protocol)
  • Native-level proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) and professional proficiency in English are required. Additional fluency in Mandarin is an advantage, supporting efforts to align with regional stakeholders and cross-border leadership teams
