Public Health Office Coordinator| 10026 | permanent contract | part-time 22.5 hours per week | £37,280 to £39,152 per annum pro rata | Grade I | Norwich/hybrid working

Our Public Health service is dedicated to helping the people of Norfolk to be able to live in healthy places, promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing ill-health. Our transformation agenda is a key County Council priority focused on prevention, reducing health inequalities and influencing healthy public policy.

We are looking for an exceptional Office Coordinator to support the Public Health Office to deliver a centralised function and facilitate the smooth running of projects, business support and tasks where response is required on behalf of the Director of Public Health and the department. You will support across all areas in public health with a focus on our corporate governance, HR and correspondence responsibilities.

You will lead the delivery of key aspects of the work of Public Health Office, such as the coordination of communications and enquiries, including complaints and Freedom of Information requests, as well deputising for the Delivery Manager in periods of absence. With responsibility for the quality assurance and timeliness of identified projects, you will report issues and risks where unforeseen events impact on delivery programme objectives, targets or budgets.

Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will have experience in the area of health strategy and/or project or performance coordination. With knowledge of Local Government, you will understand government policy and legislative agenda for local government, ideally in public health. Your partnership working, particularly in the delivery of joint action plans will achieve shared objectives. You will evidence experience of managing a diverse workload in a high pressurised environment and ensuring that deadlines are met.
