Key Responsibilities

1. Institutional & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary point of contact with:

Rural Electrification Agency (REA)

Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP)

Ministry of Power and related agencies

Development partners and technical consultants (World Bank, AfDB, EU, etc.)

Maintain regular, professional engagement through meetings, workshops, consultations, and sector events

Represent the company in public-sector discussions in a credible, neutral, and policy-aware manner

2. Program & Policy Intelligence

Monitor and analyze:

Government energy programs

Donor-funded initiatives

Policy notes, concept notes, and draft frameworks

Track upcoming programs before formal tenders or RFPs are released

Provide internal briefings on:

Program objectives and funding structures

Key decision-makers and influencers

Technical and commercial implications for the company

3. Public Positioning & PR Support

Support the company’s long-term positioning as a serious, committed partner in Nigeria’s energy transition

Coordinate participation in:

Stakeholder consultations

Technical workshops

Pilot or demonstration discussions

Ensure messaging aligns with public-sector expectations around:

Localization

Sustainability

Capacity building

Long-term engagement

4. Internal Strategy & Advisory

Translate policy and institutional developments into clear internal insights

Advise management on:

Market direction and regulatory trends

Program risks and opportunities

Alignment between government priorities and company capabilities

Prepare concise internal memos, meeting summaries, and strategic notes

Qualifications & Experience

Required

Bachelor’s degree in:

Public Policy

Economics

Energy / Power Systems

International Development

Engineering or related fields

5–10 years of experience in one or more of the following:

Government agencies (energy or infrastructure related)

Donor-funded energy or infrastructure programs

Power sector consulting or policy research

Strong understanding of Nigeria’s power sector landscape

Experience engaging with public institutions and development partners

Excellent written and spoken English

Preferred

Previous experience working with or within:

REA, NEP, Ministry of Power, or similar institutions

World Bank, AfDB, or donor-funded programs

Ability to interpret technical and policy documents

Familiarity with renewable energy, mini-grids, or energy storage projects
