Junior QA Analyst (Hybrid | Atlanta, GA)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Analyst to support enterprise-level application initiatives within a structured, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale, mission-critical systems while working alongside cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery model.
📍 Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
📅 Contract Duration: 8 to 12 months (strong extension potential)
🔎 Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end quality assurance activities, ensuring that applications meet defined business and technical requirements. You will play a key role in validating system functionality, enhancing user experience, and driving overall product quality through structured testing practices.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business requirements
- Perform functional, regression, and system testing across custom-built applications
- Partner with business stakeholders, PMO, and technical teams to analyze requirements and validate solutions
- Support and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including scenario creation and end-user coordination
- Identify, document, and track defects; actively participate in defect triage and resolution cycles
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, methodologies, and testing best practices
- Provide clear and concise status reporting, highlighting risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation plans
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint-based testing activities
✅ Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance / testing
- Proven experience with test case design, execution, and defect management
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Experience with: Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), UAT planning and execution, Test data preparation and validation
- Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, and defect tracking platforms
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing GIS-based applications
- Exposure to test automation, performance, or mobile testing
- Prior experience in public sector or government environments
- Relevant QA certifications (CAST, CSTE, CSQA, CMSQ)
