Junior QA Analyst (Hybrid | Atlanta, GA)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Analyst to support enterprise-level application initiatives within a structured, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale, mission-critical systems while working alongside cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery model.

📍 Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

📅 Contract Duration: 8 to 12 months (strong extension potential)

🔎 Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end quality assurance activities, ensuring that applications meet defined business and technical requirements. You will play a key role in validating system functionality, enhancing user experience, and driving overall product quality through structured testing practices.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, and system testing across custom-built applications
  • Partner with business stakeholders, PMO, and technical teams to analyze requirements and validate solutions
  • Support and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including scenario creation and end-user coordination
  • Identify, document, and track defects; actively participate in defect triage and resolution cycles
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards, methodologies, and testing best practices
  • Provide clear and concise status reporting, highlighting risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation plans
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint-based testing activities

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance / testing
  • Proven experience with test case design, execution, and defect management
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with: Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), UAT planning and execution, Test data preparation and validation
  • Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, and defect tracking platforms
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing GIS-based applications
  • Exposure to test automation, performance, or mobile testing
  • Prior experience in public sector or government environments
  • Relevant QA certifications (CAST, CSTE, CSQA, CMSQ)
