Role Description The Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first point of contact for students, families, and partners. Day-to-day tasks include greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, responding to inquiries, and directing individuals to appropriate team members or services. The Receptionist maintains appointment schedules, supports basic clerical and administrative tasks, and helps organize documents, forms, and records related to advising and admissions. The role also includes coordinating the front desk area, ensuring it remains organized and presentable, and providing clear information about services, processes, and office procedures. The Receptionist collaborates with advisors and administrative staff to support smooth office operations and a positive client experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong receptionist and front desk skills, including Receptionist Duties and managing visitor flow.
  • Professional phone handling and Phone Etiquette skills for answering, transferring, and documenting calls.
  • Solid Clerical Skills for scheduling, record keeping, filing, and basic data entry.
  • Effective Communication abilities for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a clear and courteous manner.
  • Customer Service skills to provide supportive, respectful, and solution-oriented responses to inquiries and concerns.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and comfort learning new systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability in following procedures and managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work on-site in Amman, maintain professional appearance and conduct, and handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Previous experience in a reception, office administration, or customer-facing role is preferred; experience in education or consulting environments is a plus.
  • Fluency in Arabic and good command of English (spoken and written) is highly beneficial.
