#### Job Description#### This position is responsible for abstracting detailed information from a patient's medical record, maintaining the registries and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in entering this information concurrently and retrospectively. The individual in this position must have a thorough knowledge of the EMR, medical terminology, Web site submissions, and Excel Spreadsheets. The individual must be able to achieve and maintain productivity expectations to meet submission time targets. This individual will work closely with the Stork Coordinator, Cardiac Coordinator and Vascular Coordinator to ensure accuracy of all data that is entered into the data base for all applicable registries and government data bases deemed appropriate to receive this information.#### Education And CredentialsAssociates degree (AAS) in a related medical field is required.####

#### Experience####
#### Three (3) years of experience in a hospital setting is required. One (1) year of experience in EMR and Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel is required. One (1) year of experience in abstraction within Stroke GWTG, NCDR, STS or SVS registries is preferred.
