About the role:

As a member of the Regulatory Affairs team, you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment with a wide range of people (regulators, law firms, government bodies and internal teams). This is a challenging, high-impact position where your expertise will directly influence business success and reputation. No two days are the same – this role sits at the intersection of regulation, business and common sense.

Key responsibilities include:

• Interpret and apply complex legal, regulatory and technical documentation

• Build and maintain an up-to-date, expert-level knowledge of applicable regulations and laws through continuous monitoring and research

• Liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, including regulators, law firms, government bodies and charities

• Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

• Collaborate with other departments, understanding their role within the business, to assess compliance risks and impacts

• Prepare and submit key regulatory reports and audits

• Resolve customer disputes, including engagement with third party dispute resolution services

About you:

• Have exceptional written and oral communication skills – you can translate complex information clearly for different audiences

• Are a strong critical thinker who can navigate ambiguity, assess risk and make sound judgements

• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the ball

• Are self-motivated, organised and calm under pressure

• Are commercially minded – you understand the relationship between compliance and business success

• Have a sense of humour

Must Haves:

• Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency Status, or long-term work rights

• 2 years+ of relevant experience

• Strong multitasking and project coordination skills

• Resilience and composure under pressure

Nice to Haves:

• Experience supporting audits, or regulatory requirements within a business environment (e.g, working with frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001).

• Exposure to privacy and data protection requirements (e.g, GDPR, PIPEDA)
