Role Overview

The Analyst – Ferro Alloys Market will be responsible for tracking ferro alloys markets, conducting primary and secondary research, assessing prices, and developing market intelligence across various ferro alloy products. The role involves extensive interaction with manufacturers, traders, distributors, exporters, importers, and end-users to generate accurate pricing benchmarks and insightful market reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for rigorous market liaisoning, data collection, and query activities related to deriving accurate and realistic ferro alloy commodity prices across regions and product categories.
  • Track and analyse ferro alloy market dynamics, including prices, demand-supply trends, production, imports, exports, and other key market indicators.
  • Ensure adherence to IOSCO principles with respect to pricing transparency, pricing methodology, audit trails, escalation mechanisms, and client grievance handling processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust pricing methodologies and benchmark assessments through continuous interaction with manufacturers, traders, distributors, exporters, importers, and steel producers.
  • Develop high-quality market intelligence content, including daily market updates, weekly insights, analytical articles, demand outlooks, and industry reports.
  • Ensure continuous adherence to Content Development Guidelines (CoDeG) through periodic quality audits and implementation of corrective measures wherever required.
  • Prepare and publish periodic reports covering ferro alloy prices, production trends, capacity expansions, trade flows, raw material developments, and end-user demand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key market participants and continuously expand the network across domestic and international markets.
  • Identify and onboard new pricing contributors and market participants to strengthen benchmark coverage and improve data quality.
  • Support clients by resolving market-related queries through accurate market interpretation and analytical insights.
  • Attend client meetings and product demonstrations to explain pricing methodologies, market assessments, dashboards, and research offerings.
  • Support customer engagement initiatives through market snippets, presentations, webinars, vlogs, and industry-focused content.
  • Coordinate with research, consulting, and sales teams for customized research assignments and client deliverables.
  • Maintain pricing databases, dashboards, and market trackers with high accuracy and timely updates.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing movements, trade policies, and industry developments to strengthen market intelligence capabilities.
