Role Description The Research & Content Contributor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kuwait City Metropolitan Area. In this position, the contributor gathers and verifies information from a range of sources, conducts structured research on assigned topics, and distills findings into clear, concise written content. Day-to-day tasks include drafting articles, briefs, and reports, collaborating with editors and other contributors to refine story angles, and supporting content planning to align with editorial priorities. The role involves monitoring news trends, identifying relevant topics for coverage, and ensuring that all content meets quality, accuracy, and ethical standards. The contributor is expected to work closely with the team on-site, participate in editorial meetings, and meet consistent deadlines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Research and Analytical Skills to gather data, evaluate sources, and derive meaningful insights.
- Candidates should possess excellent Writing skills to produce clear, structured, and engaging articles, briefs, and reports.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with editors, peers, and stakeholders and present findings clearly.
- Candidates should possess Content Strategy capabilities to help plan coverage, prioritize topics, and align content with audience needs.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, political science, economics, or a related field.
- Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with news media workflows, basic data interpretation, attention to detail, and the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Prior experience in research, reporting, or content creation in a media or information-focused environment is an advantage.
