Accountabilities and Key Roles:

  • Develop and update Risk Governance Frameworks and aligning with international best practices.
  • Assist in designing and developing cross functional initiatives such as Risk Management Knowledge Hub, Risk Champion Program, newsletter across AB PLC (within defined scope).
  • Develop risk culture assessment, deep analysis and use feedback to enhance Risk Culture Framework across the Bank.
  • Maintain and ensure tracking of risk management documentation repository.
  • Participate in in-depth assessment and gap analysis of risk management related regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Risk Management charter and document of understanding between Head Office and AB PLC.
  • Assist in conducting Risk Management functions’ maturity assessment and highlight forward looking areas of enhancements.
  • Sustain and enhance an effective and constructive work relationship with the risk management team across AB PLC and the Subsidiaries.
  • Assist in the tracking process for internal and external audit findings related to risk management across AB PLC.
  • Support the coordination and execution of the Risk Culture assessment across the Bank to enhance organizational understanding and adherence to risk management principles.
  • Assist in providing expert advice and support in preparing recommendations to strengthen risk governance and management.
  • Support the development of comprehensive structured training programs for risk management teams across Head Office and AB PLC, in coordination with HR.
  • Assist in compiling materials including MOM and follow-ups for model oversight committee (MOC) and any ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist the implementation of the reputational and strategic risk policies and framework, facilitate their assessment processes and carry out the related follow ups in this regard.
  • Manage & respond to ad-hoc requests from senior management, internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, IT or a related field, Master's is plus.
  • Risk management or Governance certificates are preferred, e.g. CGRC, CRMP, or equivalent are preferable.

Experience:

  • 3 – 5 Years of experience in Risk Management, or related role in regional/ international institution.

Competencies:.

  • Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Good presentation, communication, & collaboration skills.
  • Team building and team player.
