Be a vital part of BW Gold’s safety initiatives as the Safety and Emergency Response Advisor at the Blackwater Mine. This position focuses on risk assessment and compliance for effective emergency management.
In this pivotal role, you will implement emergency response plans and oversee safety programs while advocating for employee welfare. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that training and response strategies are effectively executed. A night shift schedule complements the need for immediate readiness in a mining setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate safety training and emergency response drills
• Conduct regular audits of life-saving equipment
• Assist with Mine Rescue operations as necessary
• Support incident investigations and record interviews
• Introduce safety policy improvements as needed
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of safety advisory experience in mining
• Valid Level 3 Occupational First Aid preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work night shifts in a remote environment
