Position Summary
We are looking for a Safety Officer who will be responsible for promoting a safe and compliant workplace by monitoring risks, conducting inspections, enforcing safety standards, and supporting employee health and safety programs across plant operations.
This role will work closely with employees and management to strengthen workplace safety culture, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure emergency preparedness across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Safety & Compliance
- Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments across plant operations
- Monitor compliance with company safety policies and government regulations
- Investigate incidents, unsafe acts, and near misses, then recommend corrective actions
- Ensure proper placement and maintenance of safety signages throughout the facility
- Promote workplace safety awareness among employees
Emergency Preparedness
- Inspect and maintain emergency equipment including:
- fire extinguishers
- eyewash stations
- emergency lighting
- fire hoses
- emergency exits
- Support emergency drills and evacuation readiness programs
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary
PPE & Environmental Safety
- Monitor issuance and usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain PPE inventory and coordinate replenishment
- Support 5S workplace organization initiatives
- Assist in proper waste segregation and environmental compliance activities
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain safety records and inspection reports
- Track workplace incidents and corrective actions
- Prepare reports for management on safety performance
- Recommend improvements to safety procedures and systems
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in occupational safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience in:
- safety inspections
- risk assessments
- emergency preparedness
- PPE monitoring
- workplace compliance
- Knowledge of Philippine workplace safety regulations
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Certifications
- BOSH SO2 Certification
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Additional safety-related certifications are an advantage
Work Setup
- Full onsite
- Laguna Technopark, Santa Rosa
- Monday to Saturday
- Day shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
