Job Summary
The Tendering and Sales department is responsible for identifying business opportunities, managing the complete tendering process, preparing competitive quotations, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting business growth. The role requires close coordination with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and identify new tender opportunities from the government/ministries and the private sector.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and commercial requirements.
- Prepare tender compliance sheets and technical/commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations, technical datasheets, certifications, and samples.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Prepare and submit tender documents within the required deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and company policies.
- Follow up on tender clarifications, evaluations, and award notifications.
- Follow up on quotations to maximize conversion into purchase orders.
- Maintain records of submitted tenders, bid status, and award results.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and project requirements after order confirmation.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads.
- Conduct product presentations and customer meetings.
- Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports.
- Resolve customer concerns in coordination with suppliers and internal departments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in tendering, sales, procurement, or business development.
- Experience with government tenders is an advantage.
- Experience in the safety, industrial, fire protection, oil & gas, or construction sectors is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of tendering procedures and documentation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
