Are you a Project Manager of commercial fitouts and refurbishments, looking to pivot into a pure Sales/Business Development opening? Do you have the drive and confidence to identify and nurture long-standing relationships, win business and demonstrate the commercial acumen to succeed? If so, this role is for you!
The Company:
A national fit-out and refurbishment organisation is expanding further as it continues to grow into new sectors and clients. This newly created opportunity will see you joining a dynamic team that excels at selling solutions for project management, fitout, make-good, and restoration works across retail, government, commercial, property owners, education, transport, and health. The business development team is accountable for achieving the business's growth and expansion targets. You will help develop the sales strategy and approach for your sectors, reporting to the head of sales, who will provide ongoing mentorship and support.
Your accountabilities will include:
- Actively pursuing leads and developing sound business relationships
- Owning the target market and being regarded as the expert in this field
- Liaise with internal, external and client stakeholders to build a solution that is ‘best in class’ and provides maximum value, focusing on labour and technology innovation
- Managing the negotiation process of the sales function and commercial terms
- Actively seeking out opportunities, plus ongoing evaluation of systems and innovation to improve performance
- Working in a small but growing sales team to ensure goals and targets are exceeded

Your skillsets might be:
- A Project Manager/ Site Supervisor looking to pivot into a growth/sales executive position or a proven sales/business development professional in the sector.
- You will demonstrate a technical appreciation of fitouts, refurbishments, make-goods, and/or restoration
- A 'hands-on' operational attitude to understand the business and work in it. You will be self-motivated and proactive, with a diligent, tenacious approach.
- Commercial acumen around pricing structures to ensure profitability, as well as confident communication skills and an outgoing nature, is required.
- Developing trust and long-term relationships with an ethical approach will ensure you fit comfortably in the team culture.
