We are seeking experienced school principals (within the last five years) to work with us as sub-contract School Reviewers supporting the Victorian school review program.
This is flexible assignment work rather than a full-time role. Reviews are commissioned across the school year and typically involve 2–7 days of work including preparation, school visits and report writing.
The role suits recent principals who want flexible professional work while remaining connected to school improvement.
What the role involves
School reviewers lead structured reviews that inform a school’s next four-year School Strategic Plan.
Typical work includes:
- Analysing school performance data and evidence
- Facilitating discussions with principals and leadership teams
- Classroom observations and stakeholder conversations
- Synthesising findings into clear improvement priorities
- Writing the school review report
Who we are looking for
To be eligible you must have served as a school principal within the last five years.
Experience in Victorian government schools is strongly preferred given the review framework and policy context.
Successful reviewers typically bring:
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Sound judgement about school improvement priorities
- The ability to lead professional conversations with school leaders
- Clear and concise report writing.
