The City of Zeeland is seeking a Seasonal Parks & Cemetery Maintenance Worker to help maintain our parks, cemeteries, and public facilities from March to December. From caring for landscaped areas to preparing cemetery grounds and assisting with seasonal operations, you’ll play an important role in preserving the spaces that residents enjoy every day.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain parks, cemeteries, and City grounds through mowing, trimming, landscaping, fertilizing, and seasonal maintenance.
- Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including mowers, tractors, loaders, backhoes, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
- Assist with cemetery burials and grounds preparation.
- Help maintain City buildings, restrooms, and park facilities.
- Plant trees, flowers, shrubs, and other landscaping features.
- Provide friendly, professional service to residents and visitors.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of grounds maintenance, landscaping, equipment operation, or related experience preferred.
- Valid Michigan Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Preferred.
- Experience safely operating grounds maintenance equipment.
- A dependable team player with a strong work ethic who enjoys working outdoors in all seasons.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
