The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Security Co-Ordinator.
- Responsible for the day to day administration of the Unit
- Planning, Organizing, Directing and Controlling of Security personnel in his team to ensure that security is effectively maintained
- Ensure that Security Guards and watchmen are trained to be proficient in their duties
- Ensuring that competent Security Guards and watchmen are at post
- Organise rounds of inspections on all security locations
- Ensure that all security procedures and standing orders are followed
- Organising and implementing training programmes for security officers
- Conducting investigations and periodic Security audits of all company premises
- Submit routine reports on the Unit to the Director of Administration
- Develop annual and other plans and budget
- Implement the decisions of the hospital management
- Formulate internal rules and regulation to ensure that standards are maintained and offer quality care
- Ensure implementation of the performance appraisals system of staff in the Unit
- Organize activities aimed at achieving best Security practice
- Investigate theft, pilfering, issues and assaults and submit reports with recommendations
- Educate staff on Security matters
- Report Security matters to the Administration
- Perform any additional duties that may be assigned by the Director of Administration

Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of First Degree in Psychology or Management with training and knowledge in Safety and Security or a former Officer in Security Services not below the rank of Chief Inspector or equivalent. The person should not be more than 45 years
Knowledge
- Knowledge in Client Relationship
- Knowledge and understanding of MOH Security Policies and Procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of KATH administrative set up and operating procedures
- Knowledge of Health Safety and Security
