Te Haeata/The Opportunity
Centre for FVSV Prevention is seeking a permanent Senior Advisor, Strategy, Investment & Performance to join the Strategy, Investment and Performance Team – a multi-disciplinary and flexible team focused on influencing and shaping how and where Government might act on family violence and sexual violence.
This role will be dedicated to supporting identification of strategic actions and the development of pathways for implementation to achieve change for those impacted by violence.
This includes undertaking discovery to explore issues and identify possible areas where government might act; working with stakeholders to establish strategic objectives; and understanding how we might implement change.
You will work closely across the Centre with subject matter experts and technical experts supporting cross functional teams, working to understand their requirements to shape strategic advice and action for the IEB. A strong emphasis on design thinking, facilitation and project management is important.

Skills And Experience
- Experience of working in complex environments developing strategy, identifying options for action and delivering quality advice.
- Applied experience of design thinking and project management.
- A keen eye for detail, interpretation of information, evidence and sound analytical skills
- The ability to translate complexity to clear and simple advice to stakeholders which helps them understand what actions they need to take.
- Preparation of reports, briefings and memos, presentations.
- Understanding and ability to position appropriate advice for senior leaders, Chief Executives and Ministers.
- Ability to create clear visual communications would be an advantage.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise critical activities in a fast pace operating environment.
Ō Pūkenga/skills And Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 4 years public sector experience in strategic development.
- Previous experience of developing and implementing strategic actions.
- Knowledge of methodologies to enable stakeholders to identify how and where they might take action.
- Sound planning and organisation, including the ability to prioritise activities and plan to deliver critical milestones.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $112,766 and $145,338 based on skills and experience.
