Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager for our Seoul, Korea office. The successful person will be bilingual English/Korean and have 5+ years' experience in international trade (ideally between Australia/Korea)

ABOUT TIQ KOREA
As part of International Operations, North Asia region the TIQ Seoul office is strategically placed to assist Queensland exporters and investors to take advantage of key sector opportunities in education and training, health and lifescience, food and agribusiness, resources and energy, infrastructure and construction, and investment attraction and migration in South Korea.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Queensland Trade and Investment Commissioner – Korea you will help to represent the interests of Queensland in market by promoting and supporting Queensland's consumer goods, health and biotechnology related opportunities in Korea through the promotion and facilitation of trade opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Deliver client management services to Queensland exporters across consumer products, health and wellness, and life sciences, including market intelligence, business leads, partner screening, and strategic advice for the Korean market.
- Lead and coordinate trade delegations, participate in major trade shows and industry events, and support ministerial missions as required, ensuring Queensland's consumer and health interests are effectively represented at a senior level.
- Develop, maintain and leverage strategic relationships with e-commerce platforms, retailers, distributors, healthcare organisations, investors, government agencies, industry allies and peak bodies to strengthen Queensland's market presence and generate tangible commercial outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with the TIQ global network and Queensland stakeholders, including TIQ Brisbane and regional offices, to deliver coordinated trade, promotional campaigns and client support initiatives aligned to Queensland's sector priorities.
- Proactively identify new market opportunities and emerging risks for Queensland exporters in Korea, applying initiative and sound judgement to resolve issues, unlock pathways to market and maximise commercial outcomes.
- Communicate with clarity and influence at all levels, providing authoritative guidance to clients, partners and government stakeholders, and representing Queensland with credibility and professionalism in-market.
ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT
- Engagement is for 24 months (full-time)
- KRW74,546,175 total remuneration per year (gross)
- 14 paid public holidays
