Our client is a market-leading technology-enabled healthcare organisation that delivers innovative digital services to healthcare providers, government agencies and commercial customers. As the legal team continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to provide broad commercial legal support, with a particular focus on government contracting and complex commercial transactions.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative legal team where you'll work closely with senior business leaders and play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives across a highly regulated industry.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and strategic partners.
- Advising on government contracts and public sector procurement matters, including contract formation, compliance and ongoing contractual obligations.
- Supporting sales, procurement, product and operational teams on day-to-day commercial legal issues.
- Advising on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to a technology-enabled healthcare business.
- Developing and maintaining contract templates, playbooks and internal legal processes.
- Providing legal support on strategic business initiatives, new products and commercial partnerships.
- Identifying legal risks and delivering pragmatic solutions that enable business growth.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Approximately 10+ years' post-qualification legal experience, gained in-house and at a leading law firm.
- Strong experience negotiating and advising on complex commercial contracts.
- Demonstrable experience advising on U.S. government contracts and procurement matters.
- A broad commercial legal background with the ability to support a wide range of business functions.
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- A pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach and the confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
