A great opportunity for an experienced Communication Specialist to support the delivery of major programs in Queensland
- Start date: mid/late March
- 3 years contract with possible extension
- $70-$75 per hour plus super
- Brisbane North suburbs, hybrid

THE ROLE
As Communications Officer, you will support the Principal Communications Advisor and project team in delivering stakeholder and community engagement activities for a major road upgrade project on Brisbane’s north side.
You will work closely with the appointed Design and Construction Contractor’s communications team to support the development and delivery of construction communications, ensuring clear, timely and accurate information is provided to stakeholders and the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support construction communication plans, notifications and internal approval processes
Prepare media releases, briefing notes, newsletters, web content, social media posts and speech notes
Draft responses to stakeholder, media and executive correspondence
Proactively identify communication risks, trends and media opportunities
Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, community groups, industry and internal stakeholders
YOU
Experience in communications and stakeholder engagement, ideally within infrastructure, construction or public-sector environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences including senior leadership and community stakeholders. Demonstrated sound judgement, governance awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities in a project delivery environment.
