Location: Al-Basra Governorate, Iraq
Geo-Jade Petroleum – South Basra Integrated Project (SBIPRO) is seeking an experienced ( Expats Candidates ) Senior Compliance Specialist with 8+ years solid Oil & Gas experience . This role works with CPL Department on Daily / or rotation basis based in Basra Iraq.
- Report directly to the Compliance Section Head of the Contracts & Procurement Department; assist the Department Head in establishing and maintaining a compliance management framework, and ensure that departmental operations align with corporate policies, local laws and regulations, and international sanctions requirements.
- Strictly oversee the compliance of the entire contract procurement lifecycle (including tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract award, and execution), ensuring that all activities strictly follow the Company's SCPP (Supply Chain & Procurement Procedures) applicable in Iraq and other internal rules and regulations, and prevent any non‑compliant conduct.
- Independently review key tender documents (e.g., tender dossiers, bid submissions, evaluation reports, clarification letters, etc.) to verify procedural fairness, transparency, and compliance; identify and report potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collect and consolidate departmental compliance data (such as procurement compliance rates, abnormal events, audit findings, etc.), prepare a monthly compliance report, and submit it to the Section Head and management on time to provide a basis for decision‑making.
- Organize and chair departmental compliance meetings (including monthly compliance regular meetings and ad‑hoc risk review sessions), record minutes, track follow‑up actions; and conduct compliance training to enhance team awareness.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration or related area, or substantial relevant experience is required.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in project administration, compliance, procurement process, ERP, project document control and management.
- Minimum 3 years’ oversea working experience with experience in Middle East is a plus.
- Experience in Oil and Gas sector is a must.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Proficient in the use of standard software applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.
- Fluency and proficiency in English both written and oral.
- Flexible with work assignment and can work under pressure..
