Position Overview
This role is responsible for full life‑cycle contract administration, supporting a portfolio of U.S. Government and commercial agreements from initial negotiation through closeout. The position requires strong knowledge of federal contracting regulations, the ability to manage a high volume of contract actions, and the skill to advise internal teams on contractual risk, compliance, and strategic approaches. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable supporting multiple programs and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Formation & Negotiation
- Prepare, review, and negotiate nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other pre‑award documents.
- Negotiate and finalize Government and commercial contract terms, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Interpret Government RFP requirements and advise leadership on contractual, financial, and compliance risks.
- Identify and apply mandatory FAR/DFARS and agency‑specific flow‑down clauses.
Post‑Award Contract Administration
- Manage cradle‑to‑grave contract activities, including modifications, funding actions, deliverables, and reporting.
- Support program managers to ensure contract execution aligns with scope, schedule, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate contract issues clearly and propose effective solutions to resolve challenges.
- Maintain accurate contract files and documentation in accordance with internal policies and audit standards.
Cross‑Functional Support
- Serve as a resource to Supply Chain and Subcontracts teams, including advising on flow‑downs and compliance.
- Assist in tailoring subcontract templates to reflect unique prime contract requirements.
- Collaborate with internal customers across engineering, finance, program management, and compliance.
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience administering T&M, FFP, and cost‑reimbursable contracts, including:
- Proposal development and pricing support
- Contract negotiation and execution
- Identification and application of prime contract flow‑downs
- Strong working knowledge of the FAR and willingness to research agency supplements (DFARS, NASA FAR, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to stay current on federal regulatory changes.
- Experience negotiating NDAs and teaming agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to propose creative solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
