About the Position

We are seeking a strategic and proactive Senior Human Resources and Administration Manager to lead all personnel and operational support functions for our growing logistics and international trade company in Mexico. This is a senior leadership position that combines extensive human resources experience with strong administrative oversight. You will be the point of contact for talent strategy, employee experience, and office operations in a multicultural and dynamic environment, capable of working under pressure and with attention to detail. Experience working in international teams or managing expatriate staff is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Leadership

• Design and execute the comprehensive human resources strategy (talent acquisition and retention, succession planning, and employer branding) tailored to a logistics and trade business.

• Lead the comprehensive recruitment process for all levels, including operational, sales, and hard-to-fill bilingual positions.

• Manage performance cycles, compensation, and benefits (including annual salary reviews, variable compensation, and expatriate packages).

• Manage labor relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and union matters (if applicable).

• Ensure full compliance with the Mexican Federal Labor Law, NOM-035, NOM-030, social security (IMSS), INFONAVIT, and tax obligations (SAT).

• Coordinate payroll with external providers and the internal finance team.

• Collaborate with the general manager to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the required function.

• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and employee engagement programs in a multicultural work environment.

Office Administration and Operations

• Lead all administrative and facilities activities: office leasing, maintenance, security, fleet management, and vendor contracts.

• Oversee travel and expense policies, and visa/work permit processes for foreign employees/expatriates.

• Manage the procurement of office supplies, equipment, and services, controlling costs.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all government agencies and labor inspections. Mexico City.

• Prepare and present monthly Human Resources and Administration reports (staffing, employee turnover, absenteeism, recruitment costs, etc.) to senior management.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree or certification in Human Resources is a plus).

• Strong attention to detail

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 4 years in a Senior Human Resources Manager or Head of Human Resources position.

• Essential experience in the sector: Proven track record in a logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or international trade company (experience in manufacturing or retail will not be considered).

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

• Extensive knowledge of Mexican labor law and experience with labor inspections and audits.

• Strong command of Microsoft Office 365

• Experience managing more than 50 employees across multiple locations and shifts.

• Previous experience working with international teams or managing expatriate staff.

• Knowledge of customs, transportation, and warehousing regulations (a significant advantage).
