Position: Senior Land Management Role in Alberta
Take on a pivotal role as a Senior Land Management Specialist for the Commercial Ministry:
Forestry and Parks in Edmonton or Calgary. Provide strategic oversight of Crown lands while leading a team.

In this full-time position, you’ll deliver local and regional projects that ensure responsible management and stewardship of lands. Engage with Indigenous groups and other stakeholders, facilitating discussions to resolve contentious issues. Your leadership experience is vital to guide your team through complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage local and regional Crown land stewardship programs

• Provide supervision, mentorship, and performance evaluations

• Lead planning initiatives for protected areas and trails

• Engage stakeholders for effective land management solutions

• Support the preparation of briefings for ministry officials

Requirements:

• Four-year university degree in environmental sciences or related field

• Six years of direct experience in land management

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ArcGIS

• Knowledge of applicable land management legislation
