Job Description for Circle Operation Management in Legal Function:
1.Responsible for handling all litigations (Consumer/Civil/Criminal/Taxation/Labour etc.) filed by or against company before forums including but not limited to NCDRC/High Court/State Commission/ District Courts/SDM Courts/Consumer Forums/PLAs across locations in the State of Karnataka.
2.Responsible for drafting and negotiating all kind of Deeds/ commercial contracts/B2B agreements/Agreements/ MoU/ POA / Settlement Deed / Letter of Intent Or Acceptance/ Partner Onboarding Agreements/Service Agreements etc. to ensure that the interest of the Company is protected and legal risks are mitigated.
3.Conduct due diligence of immoveable properties for proposed acquisitions and leases through empaneled counsels and provide the executive summary and highlight risks to the internal team within timelines.
4.Prepare and submit replies to legal notices / notices sent by customers / State Government Authorities / Tehsildar's office / gram panchayats or any other statutory authority with regard to issues related to Products or services offered by the company.
5.Registration of the company properties ie- Offices/Stores/Warehouses etc…,
6.Shall be responsible for timely updation of information/details of all litigations/notices/Paper-books on Notice Management System for review of the Circle L&R Head / Central Legal Team.
7.Analyzing, interpreting and advising business team on legislation, regulation, Guidelines etc.
8.Engage in effective coordination with all internal departments to ensure effective support from legal department for closure of the transaction in line with the agreed timelines.
9.Responsible / Coordinate with DoT LSA /TRAI RO Officials on various aspect including discussions and closure of monthly joint subscriber verification / documentation audit so as to achieve the satisfactory compliance score on monthly basis, closure of all EMF related compliances etc.
10.Improve interaction quality with LSA units of DoT / TRAI RO to improve compliance scores of CAF / EMF & MRO.
11.Compliance to all Regulation, Instructions, Notification etc issued by DoT, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) including timely response to DoT queries raised by DoT / TRAI RO.
12.Facilitate speedy rollout of towers & fibre through co-ordination with state govt. / local municipal bodies / State or District Broadband Committees.
13.Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to stakeholders/business on a variety of legal topics at Circle.
14.Managing and mitigating legal risks by implementing company policies and procedures as communicated by the Center Legal & Regulatory Team time to time.
15.Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business.
16.Staying up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect business and telecom industry.
17.Strong communication and presentation skills.
18.Excellent negotiating and drafting skills.
19.The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the cross functional team /business/Industry.
20.The ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand.
21.This position is important & critical in the circle and involves assisting the Head Legal & Regulatory in advising & actioning and handling all the legal issues pertaining to all the departments in the circle.
22.Represent the organization in court proceedings, if required.
23.Prepare legal documents, such as complaints, pleadings and briefs, to support the Business.
24.Serve as Point of Contact for government agencies, including, Local bodies, and othe relevant departments for issues related to Infra Deployment / Right of Way etc.
1.Knowledge, Certifications and Experience
Education Qualification
•BL/LLB/ML/LLM Total Experience
•Minimum 8-10 years in relevant field Certifications required (if any)
•Computer System knowledge, working experience Word, Excel, Power point etc., – Any diploma in computer science operation like NIIT or any reputed institution preferred
