As a Senior Permits Compliance Officer, you'll join a small, collaborative team delivering the Marine Park permit compliance program. The role combines compliance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, with responsibilities including leading desktop and field audits, investigating reports of non-compliance, preparing official correspondence and working with internal teams, government agencies and stakeholders across the tourism and reef research sectors.

What you'll do
- Deliver permit compliance and enforcement activities.
- Lead desktop and field audits.
- Provide advice and official correspondence to permit holders.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support team capability.
- Analyse compliance information and contribute to reporting.
- Improve compliance strategies, policies and procedures.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who demonstrates:
- strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- sound analytical and problem-solving capability
- excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- experience using information management systems
- a collaborative, adaptable approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
The successful applicant must hold, or be able to obtain, a Certificate IV in Government Investigations.
