Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary depending on the role but may include:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and review of complex policy initiatives
  • Providing high-level strategic advice to senior leaders and decision-makers
  • Conducting in-depth research, analysis, and interpretation of policy issues and legislation
  • Preparing high-quality briefings, cabinet submissions, reports, and discussion papers
  • Managing stakeholder engagement and consultation processes across government, industry, and community groups
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior policy staff (where applicable)
  • Monitoring policy outcomes and driving continuous improvement

About You

We are seeking professionals who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in policy development, analysis, or advisory roles
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to navigate complex policy environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level briefings
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in fast-paced environments
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Experience working within government or highly regulated environments (strongly preferred)

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in public policy, law, economics, political science, or a related discipline (desirable)
