As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will play a key role in managing product classifications according to the Canadian Customs Tariff. Your responsibilities will include applying crucial regulatory decisions, advising clients on alternatives to optimize duties, and conducting audits for compliance assessments. You’ll also engage with government officials and help prepare comprehensive reports to inform stakeholders about customs data metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply regulatory decisions to product classifications
• Review and analyze new trade regulations
• Conduct audits on product lines and compliance
• Input data into classification systems
• Deliver presentations on classification issues
Requirements:
• 3+ years in customs brokerage or regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with the Harmonized System
• Preferred customs designations (CCS, CTCS)
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
