TalentSource360 has been hired exclusively to identify a senior level contracts management professional to join a client in the Washington DC region delivering critical technology consulting services into the Federal sector. This individual will play a critical role in managing the full contract lifecycle for a portfolio of prime and sub-contracts while supporting business development, program management, and subcontracting activities.

Federal Contracts Manager

  • Fully remote (Applicant must live in the DC metro region for consideration)
  • Compensation: 110,000-140,000
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Flexible scheduling (standard 40-hour work week)

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats across contracts, compliance, and capture support.

Key Responsibilities

Contracts Administration

  • Manage the full lifecycle of federal contracts, including pre-award, award, and post-award administration
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, and modifications
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements
  • Serve as primary point of contact for contractual matters with government customers and partners
  • Maintain contract files and documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements
  • Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to support RFP/RFQ/RFI responses
  • Review solicitations and identify key contractual risks and compliance requirements
  • Assist in proposal development, including terms & conditions review and representations & certifications
  • Support pricing and subcontracting strategies from a contractual perspective
  • Lead subcontractor onboarding, negotiation, and administration processes
  • Prepare and issue subcontract agreements and modifications
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with prime contract requirements and flow-down clauses
  • Monitor subcontract performance and support issue resolution
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual obligations and risk mitigation
  • Support internal and external audits, including DCAA/DCMA inquiries
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and government regulations

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in contracts administration within a federal contracting environment
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement processes
  • Experience supporting proposal efforts and working with Business Development teams
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontracts and vendor relationships
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, small-company environment
  • Experience with small to mid-sized government contractors
  • Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost-Reimbursable, IDIQs)
  • CPCM, CFCM, or other NCMA certification a plus
